A Gillaroo trout, Salmo stomachius. Photo: A. Ferguson An excellent Web site concentrating primarily
on genetics. Any geneticists out there need to see this site
and the same goes for fisheries biologists, scientists and managers.
Anglers and lay people will find the site informative and thoughful,
though at times a bit too in depth, although a glossary is provided
for those unafraid of a little hard work. |

Trout
UnlimitedWith a mission to conserve, protect, and restore North America's coldwater fisheries and their watersheds, Trout Unlimited celebrated its fortieth birthday in 1998. With 100,000 volunteers organised in 450 local chapters, Trout Unlimited has built its reputation as an organisation of conservation-minded anglers who promote quality trout and salmon fisheries both for their intrinsic value and as reminders of watershed health. In November 1997, The Wild Trout Society and Trout Unlimited signed a Joint Co-operative Agreement to enable the exchange of scientific, habitat and recreational fisheries information. Under the Agreement, each organisation recognises the other as the principal source of such information in their respective countries. |

![]() In the words of this Japanese website's designer and writer, Yoshikazu Fujioka; "I was deeply moved by the beauty of the Trout which I caught in my first fishing. Since then I began to draw trouts and streams as another pleasure of fishing. With my pictures I hope I can send feelings of seasons, rich nature in The Mountain Village and, of course, vivid expressions of lovely Trouts, I have enjoyed fishing there." |
